Hi Friend

As Iowa looks to the future of transportation, electric vehicles are certain to play a pivotal role. To help inform Iowa’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan, the state is looking for input from Iowa residents!

Funding was secured through the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to support $51 million in electric vehicle infrastructure development in the state. As a result, Iowa is coordinating with other states to create plans for a national charging network along major transportation corridors. This network will offer convenient EV charging opportunities and create a more reliable travel network for electric vehicles within the state, as well as across the country.

Regardless of whether you or not you currently drive an electric vehicle, the Iowa Department of Transportation wants to hear from you! It’s important that they get as many responses as possible so that all Iowans’ perspectives are reflected in the plan. You can take the online survey until this Friday, June 24.

Thank you for your interest and participation in this important issue!
