Welcome to IFCLA’s 4th Annual Week of Gratitude! We are excited to share a series of hybrid events from November 29 to December 3. This year’s Week of Gratitude is all about celebrating and giving thanks for IFCLA’s wonderful community, from our elected champions to community partners; from our donors and sustainers to our congregation partners; as well as to all the changemakers who work hard to build a safe, welcoming, inclusive community for all, including immigrant leaders, volunteers and staff.
We are grateful to be part of a community committed to the abolition of the violent, unjust and dehumanizing immigration system in the US. While IFCLA’s programs have seen substantial growth in the past few years, we still have plenty of growing, organizing , and power-building ahead of us. It will take the continued commitment of our entire community in order to create a safe, welcoming, dignity-filled community and future for all.
What better way to celebrate our theme for this year than with in-person and virtual events that will bring us all together to celebrate our collective learning and hard work, accomplishments of this year and give thanks for this wonderful community! We’ll have a variety of events from an Action & Advocacy Panel featuring local politicians and champions; a virtual workshop led by members of Migrantes Unidos to share their wisdom as asylum seekers about abolishing ICE; and our 2nd Annual Virtual Pajama Ball!
