Read the State of Colorado’s warning about marijuana concentrates.

Colorado’s 2022 warning includes the following information on risks and precautions (highlights added):
“WARNING: Use of Marijuana Concentrate may lead to:

THC is the main mind-altering chemical in cannabis (marijuana).

As THC potency has increased over time, so have the risks.

In the early 1990s, the average THC content in marijuana samples was less than 4%. Today it can exceed 80%.

Talking to young people in your life about marijuana doesn’t mean giving them a lecture.

Just starting a conversation can make a big impact.

Parents and other adults young people trust can have a big influence on their perspectives.

In fact, youth who have a parent or trusted adult they can talk with are less likely to use marijuana, Colorado research shows.

You can just share your views and the State of Colorado’s information about the risks of marijuana concentrates.

And we encourage you also to listen – really listen – to what they have to say.
