The Monongahela National Forest is the crown jewel of West Virginia’s public lands. Mon Forest headwaters form many major rivers feeding the Ohio and Chesapeake Bay watersheds. These mountain streams are the source for drinking water to 9% of the nation's population.
Water is crucial for wildlife and habitat, recreation, and local economies.
At a series of community conversations last fall, participants expressed strong support to make sure that Mon Forest Headwaters stay pure and pristine.
Send us your thoughts on what you think is the best way to protect these pristine headwaters.
