The Iowa Environmental Council hosts several events throughout the year, including our Environmental Lobby Day during legislative session and Pro H2O in the spring.

Dr. David Osterberg is a power-house speaker who will present a good overview of the problems and solutions facing Iowa's waterways. He will address why the voluntary Nutrient Reduction Program is not enough to clean up Iowa's streams and rivers and what really needs to be done to stop the pollution of our drinking water sources the degradation of our fertile Iowa soils and the Mississippi River Gulf of Mexico "dead zone."
