Join us on October 11 to hear from Fairfax County experts on the importance of doing an energy audit. We'll also be announcing new financial incentives to help your faith community jump into action!
Our partners from Fairfax County will demonstrate the use of EPA's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager tool, using a place of worship as an example for energy use, and will go over funding opportunities for conducting energy audits and installing solar arrays.
Energy audits are a critical first step to help your faith community invest in the most climate-friendly and cost-effective projects. Should you upgrade your insulation? Put a big fan on the ceiling of your sanctuary? Change out your lightbulbs? An energy audit can answer these questions and help you engage your fellow faith communities in the smartest path forward to a clean energy future!
It's time to take action, and Fairfax County and FACS are partnering to help faith communities take the lead on implementing the county's Community-wide Energy and Climate Action Plan. We aim to be a model and inspiration for other sectors throughout the largest jurisdiction in Virginia through the five campaigns below - and more.
We hope you will join us! And invite your friends and fellow faith community members!
