“Growing Up and Out of Poverty: Why Housing Matters” examines the intersection between affordable housing, academic success, opportunities for economic and social mobility, and the role developers and providers play in creating housing that works smarter for all residents.
We are excited to announce that NHPF has retained state-of-the-art producers to seamlessly bring the Symposium to attendees via a highly engaging, virtual platform that guarantees an unrivaled digital event experience.
This year’s NHPF Affordable Housing Trailblazer Award will be presented to two bipartisan legislators, Senator Todd Young (R-IN) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), who strongly support efforts to increase our nation’s supply of affordable housing. NHPF is awarding this year’s Industry Leader Award posthumously to Elijah Cummings, former Representative from Baltimore, who was a major champion of affordable housing. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, the Representative’s wife, will accept the award.
NHPF joins with Enterprise Community Partners to produce a survey of educators, Aligning Housing & Education Outcomes, exploring the intersection between affordable housing, academic success, and social mobility. Andy Masters, Strategic Partnership Manager, Knowledge, Impact & Strategy, will present the survey results at the Symposium in advance of a white paper which will further investigate findings and implications.
