The Franciscan Action Network (FAN) exists to bring a collective Franciscan voice to public policy on issues related to justice, peace, creation, and human dignity. Here, we highlight some of our accomplishments this year. This year, FAN has sought to nurture our network in many ways, for example, our “Healing the Wound” interfaith vigil in January and “RE-Humanize this Lent” process. We gathered in Washington with the Poor People’s Moral March and began looking at “Confronting Environmental Racism” through a 4-part webinar series. Earlier this month, we hosted our first “Election Eve Prayers for Guidance and Harmony” in preparation for midterm elections. 

Franciscan Justice Circles–local affinity groups in which people join Franciscan spirituality with action for justice, peace, and creation–are one of our most important projects. Already 19 Circles have formed across the United States and more continue to form, joining advocacy at the local level and national level.

As our organization seeks to improve the way we serve you, we also turn to you to help support our operations. This year has been a challenging one due to inflation and other economic factors, and we have a budget gap to fill.
