Hunger Free Vermont is Hiring for a Development Associate

Hunger Free Vermont has created a new position within their organization, a Development Associate. This role will work directly with the Grants Manager on researching and writing grant reports, participate in research to help identify potential donors, and will assist the Development Director to analyze results of fundraising efforts.

Farm to School and Early Childhood Grant Applications – Deadline 11/3

The application process for the VT Agency of Agriculture Food and Markets Farm to School and Early Childhood Grant is now open. The purpose of this grant is to help schools and early childhood education organizations develop and expand farm to school and farm to early childhood programs that will foster relationships with local farmers and producers, enrich students' educational experiences, improve the health of Vermont children, and enhance Vermont's agricultural economy. This competitive grant program is offered annually.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
