Out in farm country, we’re getting fed up with hogs fouling our nests

Ah, the sweet smell of money on a fine spring morning! That’s what we used to say here in Iowa, the pork capital of the United States, where manure covers the black loam like dew. This month, science confirmed what our noses have been telling us for some time: It’s killing us.
