Combined Sewer Overflows
There are active Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) in WNY, which release untreated waste into local waterways. If it has recently rained, consider paddling a different day or limiting your contact with the water. Waterkeeper test for bacteria along the Buffalo River during the summer months and will post results to swim guide.
