Local Businesses stay strong for CASA

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region could not carry out its mission to advocate for vulnerable kids without the generous support of our many donors – including loyal business partners.

Last year, business partner support amounted to $135,000 which made it possible for 112 kids to have a CASA volunteer advocate. (It costs about $1,200 per year to provide an advocate to a child).

When you ask CASA business partners why they choose to support CASA, their answers vary but follow the same theme. They feel a sense of responsibility to take care of the community in which they do business. In their own words…

    • “As our community continues to grow, the need to take care of that community will also grow. The people who have the ability to help should help.” — Covington Homes Co-Principal, Ron Covington
    • “While we are out working hard in our business… volunteer time can get compromised. Giving to organizations such as CASA means we can assure that volunteer and charity work continues unhindered.” – Co-Owner of Budget Blinds, Michael Burwell
    • “Child abuse is something we all need to step in and do something about.” – Colorado Springs Supercuts Salon Owner Heather Heinbaugh
    • “I faced challenges. I also found the kindest people. The Sunday school teachers, the neighbors who donated clothes to my family, the parents of classmates who drove me to football practices and school events. These individuals recognized a need and they responded to it.  Without their help, I would not be able to serve patients as a skin cancer surgeon today.” – Dr. Vinh Chung, Co-founder of Vanguard Skin Specialists

Giving back to your community is a noble reason to partner with a nonprofit, but there are other reasons. It’s no secret that businesses across America have created win-win scenarios for not just the charities they support, but for themselves as well. The reason? Many consumers tend to be more loyal to purpose-driven brands.

CASA’s Business Partner Program offers four levels of giving with partner benefits increasing at each level. Starting with a $5,000 annual contribution, a company would gain brand visibility on CASA’s website and social media channels, among other perks. By the time a company reaches the $25,000 level, they will be a presenting sponsor at CASA’s annual Light of Hope events which regularly attract several thousand people from across the region. In 2022, we thank the following business partners for their unwavering support to the children of the Pikes Peak Region and we encourage all CASA supporters to consider becoming patrons of these businesses.
