Attend a Housing Stakeholder Meeting – 4/7

Tomorrow, April 7, at 11:00 am, Congressman Peter Welch is hosting a virtual meeting with housing stakeholders. The meeting will include a panel of speakers who will share updates on the use of federal funding to stand up programs to address Vermont's housing needs during the pandemic.

Vermont Community Loan Fund Presentation for ECE Capacity Grants and EC Programs – 4/13

The Vermont Community Loan Fund (VCLF), the Alliance’s parent organization, is hosting a business strategies presentation focused on early childhood education capacity grants and early childhood programs on Tuesday, April 13, from 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm. This online/real-time training will provide an overview of important strategies to consider when opening and running a child care business.

COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility

Vermont has recently expanded its COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to include:

  • Any Vermonter 40+
  • Vermonters 16 and older who identify as Black, Indigenous, or people of color (BIPOC) and members of their households
  • Parents or caregivers of anyone with a qualifying health condition
  • Child care providers and school staff

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
