Winter Solstice 2022: The Warmth of Community
The Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix is honored to invite you,
your family, and your friends to attend our 24th Annual Solstice Party!
Each year, we Humanists gather on or about the longest night of the year to reflect upon the previous year and plan for the next.
This year we have some special guests visiting from New Jersey: American Atheists President Nick Fish will address us about their ongoing work and their upcoming convention in Phoenix! Debbie Goddard (Vice President, Programs) and Sam McGuire (Field Director) will also break bread with us. Talk about warmth of community!
This is our biggest FUNdraiser of the year, and we offer several ways to help raise the money needed to keep HSGP and the Humanist Center going, such as:
· Raffles for awesome prizes
· Silent auctions for great items
· Fun stuff for sale
· Donations targeted for exciting programs and practical projects
Celebrating the warmth of community naturally includes the sharing of delicious foods and drinks.
- To get us started, HSGP will provide an assortment of tamales to warm our hearts. Also provided will be coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks, beer and wine.
