Urban Outdoors Summer Series

Hartman Reserve Naturalists have partnered with Iowa PBS to bring nature to families in a new way! Hartman Reserve will be featured in an upcoming video series highlighting the awesome nature opportunities in an urban setting. Along with the video series, Iowa PBS has produced science activity journals for families to guide them through outdoor exploration. To debut this new partnership, Hartman will be hosting a summer program series on Sundays that will assist families in learning about the natural world all around them.

This activity is FREE and registration IS NOT REQUIRED. Each Sunday, your family is invited to join a Naturalist in a program based on an activity in the book. Science activity journals will be provided! This activity journal is geared towards elementary age children. Each Sunday program will highlight a different activity in the journal, so we encourage you to come back to other programs in the series.

This is the first run of this journal, so we would like to get feedback on the journal and the activities. We would love it if participants completed a pre- and post-survey to help us evaluate the new journal.
