Thanks to a very generous anonymous donor, the Konikoff Center of Learning at the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater is able to offer free Jewish Art Education (JAE) classes to the Tidewater Community! JAE is dedicated to educating the wider world on the contributions of the Jewish visual arts to Jewish civilization. Their mission is to continue to explore innovative uses of media to tell the story of Jewish civilization to a wider audience.

About the Instructor: Nancy Kotz holds a B.A. in Art History and Business as well as a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Nancy began her career in arts and public policy (Congressional Arts Caucus) before transitioning to the museum world (Smithsonian Institution and National Gallery of Art) where she held positions in museum education and museum retail. Nancy is also the Founder and Content Curator for VisualArtsDC, a social media based community with over 1300 followers focused on the visual arts in the metropolitan Washington, DC region. Since 2015 she has been presenting programs in person and virtually to audiences across Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia for Jewish Art Education.
