About this event

The Chicago Urban League invites you to join us for a large group conversation designed to identify messages and outreach materials that are likely to encourage the most participation from Illinois' African American residents.

With Census Day looming around the corner it is crucial, now more than ever, that we do all we can to ensure that the messages we share with our communities encouraging participation are actually meaningful.

As a Hard to Count population, African American communities have been routinely undercounted in past census data, losing out on their fair share of political representation, economic resources, and social services. The other various challenges facing African American communities in our state will only be further compounded if this trend continues.

Your input is VITALLY important! So please, don't miss out on the chance to collaborate, network, and enjoy lunch in an effort to create targeted 2020 Census messages that resonate with our state's vibrant African American populations.
