  • visit with pro-life agencies who will have tables set up in the Capitol Rotunda
  • Interact with and lobby your Pro-Life legislators for bills being voted on that day and others upcoming
  • Represent the Pro-Life Louisiana public during special pro-life day recognition on the House and Senate floors
  • And enjoy a slice of “Everyone Deserves a Birthday” Cake served by Louisiana Right to Life!

Bill votes occurring on Pro-Life Day at the Capitol:

SB388 – Stopping Illegal Sale of Chemical Abortion Act: We SUPPORT this bill! Creates the felony of the illegal sale of chemical abortions, especially when done through the mail. This will help stop the illegal sale of chemical abortions, both now and in a post-Roe Louisiana. Read more and take online action HERE

HB 459 – The Life Sustaining Care Act: We SUPPORT this bill! Protects patients from having life-sustaining care withdrawn or withheld from a patient who desires additional treatment. Increasingly, “futile care therapy” is adopted in hospitals allowing them to unilaterally withhold medical treatment because the healthcare provider believes that patient’s quality of life is not worth continuing, or that care is too expensive. Bill on House floor on Tuesday, April 26th:

HB 640 – Abortion-Vaccine Connection Transparency Act: We SUPPORT this bill! With Representative Mark Wright, we have introduced a first-of-its-kind bill called the Vaccine-Abortion Connection Transparency Act (HB 640). HB 640 requires that all vaccines indicate on their packaging and informed consent documents whether they were or were not produced with abortion-derived cells or human embryonic-derived cells. Read more and take online action HERE

Bill in Senate Committee on Tuesday, April 26th:

HB 450 – Louisiana made a promise of confidentiality to birth moms in adoption.  Louisiana shouldn’t go back on its promise! Tell your State Senator to vote NO on HB 450 without “mutual consent” amendments! The Louisiana Senate is considering legislation that would retroactively break Louisiana’s promise of confidentially to birth mothers who heroically placed their baby for adoption. HB 450 is a violation of the promise of confidentially made to a birth mother who made a courageous decision to give that child the greatest gift: LIFE. Read more and take online action HERE

Even if you cannot make it to Pro-Life Day at the Capitol in person, please watch and flood the House and Senate with support of SB 388, HB 459, and HB 640, and against HB 450 in session that day!
