What will you do as a Bilingual Counselor?
Role Description
As a Counselor, you will help individuals and families who are experiencing a financial hardship. You will provide your clients with available options and assist them in selecting a solution that fits their situation. You will provide counseling over the phone in a call center environment, and will use your newly-acquired certifications, training and interpersonal skills to help put clients' minds at ease and place them on the road to financial success.
What To Expect:
- Provide financial counseling by upholding the standards of the counseling model to consumers in need. The position has many processes and procedures to maintain both in counseling delivery and data capture.
- Lengthy phone communication with consumers, client referrals and industry representatives.
- Requires attention, focus and being available for inbound calls in a remote work environment free from background noise and distractions.
- Ability to handle periods of high call volume, phone interactions, and meet performance standards.
- Connect with consumers by phone and capture all aspects of the communication and data points using the organization’s proprietary software CMS platform.
- Ability to multi-task and use several software applications including the agency’s CMS, outlook, Adobe, Word and a soft-phone.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service, call center environment, finance, case management or social services
- Must be computer literate, have the ability to type at least 25 words per minute and be able to spend your day on the phone
- Required to obtain NFCC and HUD Housing Counselor Certification within 6 months’ of start
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone in a high volume in-bound call center environment.
- Coachable and acceptable to feedback & improvement. Demonstrate ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with supervisor and management team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process including criminal background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to show compassion while maintaining a distinct level of direction
- Understanding of call-center and productivity requirements

Role Description
As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service and supporting clients on their journey towards eliminating their debt and achieving financial stability. Your main responsibilities promptly responding to incoming calls; understanding clients’ needs and taking appropriate actions to address their inquiries or requests effectively and efficiently.
What To Expect
- Handle primarily inbound phone calls from clients. The calls typically take around 5 minutes. Although call volume may vary from day to day, you can anticipate receiving an average of around 30 calls per day.
- Provide additional assistance to clients via email, mail, and/or text.
- Support clients in enrolling and managing their debt management program, answering their questions, reviewing their information and communicating with creditors
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish
- At least 1 year of Customer service and call center experience
- Ability to sit for an 8-hour shift while using headset to handle phone calls
- Ability to type 40 words per minute

What will you do as a Mail Clerk?
Role Description
As a Mail Clerk, you will efficiently and promptly process all outgoing mail for the company.
What To Expect
- Receives, sorts, and prepares outgoing mail at regular intervals from customer service and counseling departments.
- Performs duties related to the generation of printed outgoing correspondence related to DMP clients and counseling programs.
- Performs various bulk mailing projects consisting of batch documents to be sent to DMP clients and creditors.
- Picks up and drops off all mail at the Post Office or Federal Express Drop Off.
- Keeps track of mailroom inventory, and requests orders of new supplies when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to reliably commute to the Manalapan, NJ office for scheduled hours
- Must have own vehicle for travel to and from Post Office
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience preferred
- Mobility and ability to sit, bend, reach and lift 35 lbs
