CalHome Program Disaster Assistance, Round 2

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is pleased to announce the release of the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for approximately $100 million in CalHome Program funds to assist the following 12 counties impacted by 2017 and 2018 disasters: Butte, Lake, Los Angeles, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Orange, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Shasta, Sonoma, and Ventura.
 
This funding provides grants to local public agencies and nonprofit organizations to assist individual first-time homebuyers through deferred-payment loans for down payment assistance, home rehabilitation, including manufactured homes not on permanent foundations, acquisition and rehabilitation, homebuyer counseling, self-help mortgage assistance, or technical assistance for self-help homeownership.
 
Applicants may submit applications on an "over-the-counter" basis until all available funds are exhausted or by September 3, 2019 by 5:00 P.M.
