Eating Better Together: A Mindful Eating Event

Did you know that switching to a plant-based diet can have a significant positive impact on the environment and your health? At Eating Better Together, you’ll learn how to skip the factory farm and make plants the nutritious, delicious focus of meals for your whole family.

Program: Nutritionist Robin Coarts and Chef Katie Porter will share insights on plant-based eating and local sourcing

We will also have information on hand from Iowa farmers and growers who raise animals kindly, grow crops sustainably, and sell directly to you.

Event begins at 12 noon with farm-to-table breakfast wraps from HoQ, Des Moines’ premier sustainable restaurant. Lunch is free, but to help us with ordering, please register by noon on April 11 by emailing Lois Schultz at lms444@earthlink.net or Ann Klein at ann.klein123@gmail.com.
