NNEDV projects address the complex causes and far-reaching consequences of domestic violence. Through cross-sector collaborations at the state, national and international level, we’re changing the way our society deals with domestic violence.

  • Domestic Violence Counts

    NNEDV’s Domestic Violence Counts Report is an annual noninvasive, unduplicated count of adults and children who seek services from U.S. domestic violence shelter programs during a single 24-hour survey period. Conducted annually by NNEDV since 2006, #DVCounts takes into account the dangerous nature of domestic violence by using a survey designed to protect the confidentiality and safety of victims.     Through WomensLaw, we provide easy-to-understand, “plain language” legal information and resources to victims living with or escaping domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or dating violence.   • Capacity Technical Assistance

    Our strength is our network of the 56 state and territorial coalitions against domestic violence, who provide critical leadership in coordinating efforts to end violence against women. This network of coalitions is vital to NNEDV's work to address systematic barriers facing victims and to strengthen domestic violence services.

    NNEDV’s Coalition Capacity Project provides comprehensive, specialized technical assistance and training to the coalitions in order to best address the needs of victims and local domestic violence programs. The coalitions have access to technical assistance regarding best practices at the national level.
