We award our grants to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations with projects and portfolios especially for the youngest in New Jersey and Vermont.

On April 18, Turrell staffers and clients enjoyed an enchanting evening at the @njsymphony Spring Into Music Gala & Auction, with live music from the Curtland E. Fields Ensemble of the Youth Orchestra! It was truly an unforgettable night!
The New Jersey Symphony (NJS) connects diverse communities through live music and celebrating creativity among audiences of all ages. NJS also prioritizes music education for all ages, especially the youth.
The Fields Ensemble, created in 2019 in honor of Curt and the Turrell Fund’s support, allows NJ youth to learn the art of orchestral music.
The Fund thanks NJS for hosting a wonderful night, as well as for its work in empowering the Newark community with live symphonic music and learning opportunities for the youth.

North Branch Nature Center serves VT family and children through outdoor recreation and educational programs. The Forest Preschool program is the first licensed preschool embedded in a nature center.

On April 18, Turrell Staffers Andrés and Stan, attended the @newarksymphonyhall Sarah A‘Vaughan Garde Gala that celebrated the 100th birthday of concert hall’s namesake, Sarah Vaughan! Turrell clients also attended this special event.
Newark Symphony Hall’s gala directly supported programming for the Arts + Education Lab, a creative hub for youth artist enrichment, community engagement and youth education.

On April 11, Turrell Fund CFO Rich Ribeiro attended @northwardcenter “Concert of Hope” which featured multi Grammy-winner singer, Regina Belle. The concert honored parents of children with Autism for their resiliency.
The North Ward Center (NWC) serves Newark families with a variety of community programs, such as the Child Center Development Center to the Family Success Center. The “Concert of Hope” was in partnership with the Center for Autism.

The Newark School of the Arts (NSA) offers Early Childhood Music & Movement class for infants ages 3 months all the way to 3 years old. The class allows young children to play, sing, chant, and dance with the parents to develop their rhythmic, tonal and physical skills.

Greater Bergen Community Action’s Head Start program serves children ages 0-5 from Bergen County, Jersey City, Paterson, and Prospect Park, NJ. Children prepare for kindergarten, but also for life beyond through a variety of educational programs.
