Paddle Boarding Basics

Peterson Park, Story County

Monday, August 24, 2020

Come learn about different boards and have fun trying your skills out on the water. Paddle boarding can provide an amazing full-body workout that addresses your core, cardio fitness, balance, and flexibility, all with the fluidity of a paddle sport. So get out on the water and enjoy nature!

Must be 18 years or older to attend. Wear a swimming suit or clothes that can get wet. Bring a towel and water bottle. We will provide stand up paddle boards, paddles, personal flotation devices, and light refreshments.

If there is a thunderstorm, we will notify participants and postpone.

The registration closes Monday, August 24.

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to the ongoing development of COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation and face coverings mandatory when social distancing is not possible or while indoors.
