RICHMOND — Half of Virginia voters gave good marks to Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) in a poll from the Wason Center at Christopher Newport University, with 50 percent approving and 40 percent disapproving.

But Virginia voters were divided on what issues matter most to them heading into next month’s midterm congressional elections, with Democratic candidates holding a slight edge over Republicans on a generic ballot. Forty-six percent of registered voters said they plan to vote for the Democratic candidate in their district, and 40 percent planned to vote for the Republican.
