As so many in our community continue to stay home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Workers Circle is drawing on our Jewish history of humor to initiate a change in the conversation to The Great Schmooze. 

The Great Schmooze is a program organized by the Workers Circle of making calls to members of our community who want to be contacted. We will train and equip our members and friends to connect with each other and schmooze. There is nothing like sharing a joke, story, or memory to lift our spirits and change our outlook. 

What makes you laugh? What are your funniest family jokes, memories and stories? Do you have a favorite funny movie, book or comedienne? Do you think having a good sense of humor is important to Jewish culture?   

We hope you will join us to discuss these questions and share stories to deepen our person-to-person connections across generations.

We all carry with us thousands of stories about our lives and so many are filled with humor and love. These stories make us who we are, give us individual and common perspective to the world we live in, and help us build relationships with each other.
