Dear Embassy Protectors,

We continue to organize to oppose US intervention in and aggression toward Venezuela and other countries. On August 5, Trump signed an executive order creating a blockade on Venezuela. And, just today the US State Department announced a new "Venezuela Affairs Unit" based in Colombia to support the coup leader, Juan Guaido.

As Venezuelans work to meet their basic needs and prevent US interference, our solidarity is needed more than ever.

Here are some upcoming events and ways for you to get involved:

1. Tell the US State Department to drop the charges against the four Embassy Protectors arrested on May 16 when the US violated the Vienna Convention by storming the embassy in Washington, DC. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

2. Sign the Global Appeal for Peace. We are building a worldwide movement to stop countries, such as the US, from violating international laws. Together, we can end US global gangsterism. CLICK HERE TO SIGN THE APPEAL.

3. Join us in the streets for the People's Mobilization to Stop the US War Machine and Save the Planet. This will be in New York City from September 20 to 23 during the United Nations General Assembly session, International Peace Day and the Climate Summit.

On Friday, we will march with the Fridays for Future youth for the People's Climate Strike. On Saturday, we will participate in the Puerto Rico Independence march. On Sunday, we'll have a People's Mobe Rally and March from Herald Square at 2:00 pm. Guests include Cornel West and Ben Grosscup. Roger Waters and Rebel Diaz also said they would be there. Then, on Monday evening we are hosting "A Path to International Peace: Realizing the Vision of the United Nations Charter" at the Community Church of New York 40 East 35th St., NYC 10016. Doors open at 6:00 pm. This July, the 120 nations in the Non-Aligned Movement reaffirmed their commitment to peace and the planet in the Caracas Political Declaration. We will hear from representatives from some of those countries most impacted by US lawlessness. There will also be live music by David Rovics, the Peace Memorial Prize and a panel on what must be done to preserve peace, centering the power of transnational solidarity. The event is free but you must register in advance at bit.ly/RSVPapathtopeace.

You'll find more information at www.PeoplesMobe.org and the Facebook Page. Your organization can still be an endorser. Click here to endorse.
