Welcome to Rock Spring

Our Ministries and Priorities
April is Earth Month!
Rock Spring has a long legacy of responding to the call to care for God’s creation. As a congregation, we have set a goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions, installed solar panels, upgraded insulation around the campus, changed lightbulbs, and much more. We’ve installed an air quality monitor, removed invasive plants, added compost bins, and engaged in advocacy. We’ve partnered with organizations like Solar Village Project, EcoAction Arlington, Interfaith Power and Light, the Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, and Friends of Urban Agriculture.
There’s still so much we can do, collectively and as individuals. Throughout April, we will shine a light on ways to continue our efforts, getting practical advice for electrifying our homes & going native in our backyard landscaping, enjoying plant-based cooking, recycling old denim, and much more. Read about all of these offerings in the latest edition of the Rock Spring News!
