Find out how to change your yard from a homogenous sea of green to a natural habitat: Join Cassie Druhl of The Rain Campaign Tuesday, 6:45 pm, April 16 at the Des Moines Izaak Walton League! You'll learn about how conservation practices such as Rain Gardens and Native Landscaping can make a positive difference for our local watersheds, decreasing flash flooding, improving water quality and beautifying the landscape.

Across the Des Moines metro, multiple funding resources, local contractors and businesses can help you implement these valuable projects at home. The Rain Campaign was launched in 2019 as a localized effort across the Des Moines metro to inspire people to be part of the solution towards managing storm water runoff in a better way!

Cassie Druhl represents The Rain Campaign, as well serving as the Water Resources Outreach Coordinator for Polk County. Admission for Cassie's talk at 6:45 pm is FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC! Doors open at 5:30 with dinner at 6 available for purchase.
