Collaborating with Employers and Utilizing Creative Platforms to Connect People with Disabilities to Meaningful Work

Good morning colleagues,

The AoD Disability Employment TA Center's National Community of Practice (CoP) webinar, "Collaborating with Employers and Utilizing Creative Platforms to Connect People with Disabilities to Meaningful Work", will be hosted Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 3:00-4:30 P.M. Eastern Time.

As we celebrate DD Awareness Month,Come join the DETAC as we highlight the utilization of creative technological platforms to help grantees connect people with disabilities to competitive, integrated employment (CIE) opportunities. Grantees have a responsibility to engage with employers at various levels which can be daunting when employers are consumed with the burdens of productivity, new COVID protocols, and staffing shortages. This webinar will showcase Mentra, the 2021 grand prize winner for ACL’s Inclusive Talent Pipeline for American Business  Prize Challenge, who successfully developed a digital hiring platform that connects recruiters and neurodiverse applicants through the use of an intelligent matching platform. We will also hear from an employer and an individual with disability both using the innovative platform developed by Mentra to meet their respective needs.

In addition, there will be Office Hours on March 11, 2022, from 12:00-1:30 PM Eastern Time. (Stay tuned for Zoom info coming soon).
