Homelessness Awareness Day at the State House – 1/19

This year's Homelessness Awareness Day will take place on Thursday, January 19 at the State House in Montpelier, virtually, and at many locations around the state, beginning at 8:00 am.  Join sponsoring service and shelter providers, community members, housing advocates from across the state, and homeless and formerly homeless Vermonters to reflect on what must be done in the coming year to end homelessness in Vermont.

Visit the State House-focused events page for events in Montpelier and related virtual events. Regional housing coalitions across the entire state are also hosting local homelessness awareness events. Visit this local event page for more information on events in your area.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
