Strategies for Children has gone back to its roots and strengthened and re-imagined our role as a convener and connector in the early childhood space in Massachusetts by creating, organizing and hosting The 9:30 Call.

Launched in March 2020, and recently commemorating its 4th anniversary, our daily 9:30 Call continues to build community and serve as a unique venue for information sharing, knowledge building, networking, policy and political updates, and moral support for the field. 9:30 Call conversations help cultivate real-time feedback loops between local practitioners and state-level advocates, funders, and policymakers.

DETAILS
The Zoom call runs Monday–Thursday from 9:30–10:00 AM. Our 9:30 call community includes 1,400 people, and participation is between 75-100 on any given day. To include everyone, we added two night calls per month, with one in Spanish.

Sign up to join the list and get weekly email updates with guest speakers.

Once you sign up, you are in the loop. We use the same Zoom link for the 9:30 call each day. If we do record the call, we’ll be sure to give you a heads up. If you miss the call live, you can always catch-up with the follow-up materials archived online.

We're always looking for new voices to feature on The 9:30 Call. Share your ideas for speakers and topics.

WHO'S ON THE CALL?
We have participants from early education and care, community-based organizations, nonprofits, research, philanthropy, business, higher education, state and local government, K-12, health, human services, economic development, law, and more. The calls provide the space for us all to address and discuss challenges facing the field and share our collective successes.

"This has been a tremendous way to stay anchored and know the pulse of the field statewide."

"We meet with legislative staff members, and they say, I get it. I get it. I get it. Now what do you want me to do? That's why we have to come up with solutions that involve the voices of the people in the field who are doing this work."
