The first “BRIDGE Train the Facilitator (TtF) Workshop” is taking place in Albania during 4-15 July, under the facilitation of Doina Bordeianu, Zage Filiposki and Corneliu Pasat.

This 9-day training targets 18 staff of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Albania, as well as trainers with expertise in civic education.

The Academy of Political Studies (ASP) is implementing the workshop with the support of and in close partnership with Council of Europe and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA).

The primary objective of this BRIDGE TtF workshop, is to enhance the capacity of CEC Albania in providing modern, qualitative and effective training and education programs, notably by: training participants in the use of the BRIDGE participatory methodology and curriculum in cross-cultural environments; providing participants with knowledge and experience to plan, organise and conduct BRIDGE workshops; preparing and equipping participants to represent BRIDGE values and facilitate workshops to the required standards.

The acquisition of the BRIDGE methodology is expected to diversify and modernize the training delivery methods of CEC Albania, strengthening in-house skills for curriculum writing.

In December 2019, the CEC Albania organized a BRIDGE strategic planning for electoral management workshop and a BRIDGE implementation workshop, with the support of ASP, International IDEA and the Council of Europe.
