ARP ESSER Act 24 Allocations

IUs, CTCs, PRRIs, APSs, A-TSI Schools, and Entities Providing Educational Programs to Delinquent, Neglected, and At-Risk Youth

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was enacted on March 11, 2021. This Act provided State Educational Agencies (SEAs), like the Department, certain flexibilities in applying the statutory set-asides within the 10 percent of total ARP ESSER funds that were allocated to each state. The information below addresses the 2.5% set aside of these funds that have been designated for the following school entities by Act 24 of 2021.

In June 2021, the General Assembly and Governor Wolf enacted Act 24 of 2021, which distributed funding to support activities under the ARP Act for the local education entities (LEAs) as detailed below:

Intermediate Unit Allocations (Excel)

The LEAs receiving funding as detailed above, must complete an application in the eGrants system detailing the program and activity, narrative and activity detailing personnel and operating costs.  Other requirements for will be detailed in future documents. Applications for these funds will be open in the eGrants system in the coming weeks. Notifications will be sent to each respective school entity once the applications are open.
