Waterbugs Wild Water Camp

McFarland Park, Story County

Monday, June 7, 2021

Explore the wild, muddy, squishy world of water. Campers will learn how water connects us all as they discover Story County ponds, wetlands, streams, and rivers through hands-on activities, art, stories, games, and journaling.

This camp runs Monday, June 7 - Friday, June 11. Camp will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 3:30 pm daily.

This camp is only for children that are completing 1st or 2nd grade in the spring of 2021.

**We will actively explore the outdoors. Expect that your child may be dirty or wet when you pick them up (including Monday)**

Registration will begin May 3rd at 6 pm, and end on May 24th at 9 am. Please sign up for only one of the Waterbugs: Wild Water Camps.

 REMINDERS:

  • Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (no flip flops) that can get wet and dirty and are comfortable for walking. Hats are recommended.
  • Bring a full water bottle and a snack in a small backpack.
  • Story County Conservation staff will not apply bug spray or sun block. Please apply before arrival.

IMPORTANT: Masks are recommended, and camps will follow physical distancing guidelines whenever possible.

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation, and we recommend face coverings when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
