The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) is pleased to announce WarnerMedia is the presenting sponsor of AAJA’s 2021 Annual Convention (#AAJA21).

This year’s convention, taking place virtually on August 24-28, 2021, is themed in celebration of our 40th anniversary— “Proudly Looking Back, Boldly Moving Forward”— grounding journalism and its future in decades of leadership development and community building.

“We are grateful for this continuing partnership between WarnerMedia and the Asian American Journalists Association,” said AAJA Executive Director Naomi Tacuyan Underwood. “WarnerMedia’s support of AAJA and our members shows a commitment to diversity and meaningful representation of AAPIs in media. We look forward to showcasing WarnerMedia’s industry leadership during the convention, and fostering connections among our members.”

“Partnerships, such as the one we have had with the AAJA continue to remain crucial,”  said James Anderson, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing, WarnerMedia. “It’s important that all stories get told and that the many different voices throughout our industry are heard. We are proud to be joining AAJA in celebrating their 40th anniversary.”

“We are extremely proud of our long-standing relationship with AAJA,” said Johnita Due, Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for WarnerMedia News and Sports, the parent company of CNN, Turner Sports + Bleacher Report and WarnerMedia Studios. “This year, more than ever, it’s so vital that we come together to support, amplify and champion AAPI voices and representation. That is why we recently launched the AAJA Sports Task Force Bleacher Report internship.”
