This form is intended for sisters, associates, ministry partners, companions, and others affiliated with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas to register to attend the June 18, 2022 Poor People's Campaign Moral March in Washington, D.C. Our Institute Justice Team has joined the PPC as a Mobilizing Partner working towards a more just vision of a country where no one suffers in poverty. We see the principles of the PPC aligning directly with Mercy's Critical Concerns and hope to organize a strong Mercy presence on June 18 and beyond with both the national and state PPC campaigns and actions. See this blog post for more on our connection and shared goals:

For those connected to the Mercy community, we are offering housing at the Stuart Center (821 Varnum St NE, Washington, DC 20017), so please indicate below if you would like us to reserve a room for you. If needed, we will provide additional accommodations once these rooms are all reserved.
TRAVEL & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for transportation as well as assistance in booking travel. Please note below if you are interested in the possibility of financial assistance or help with travel logistics. The Poor People's Campaign also offers bus service from most major areas in the Midwest and Eastern U.S. These buses do not stay overnight, but travel to D.C. for the march and then return home. More information can be found here:

We will also have a limited number of chairs available for the event at the Mall if standing or walking is difficult.

We plan to host a welcome dinner for all Mercy folks on Friday evening at the Stuart Center. Please let us know below if you would like to attend as well as any dietary restrictions. Breakfast is also provided and lunch/snacks will be available.
