Fairfax County and FACS are partnering on a faith sector pilot to implement the county's Community-wide Energy and Climate Action Plan. We aim to be a model and inspiration for other sectors throughout the largest jurisdiction in Virginia through the five campaigns below - and more. We hope you will join us!
Our next monthly presentation and discussion is on Tuesday, March 14th at 5:00PM. We'll review all five campaigns and then focus in on the Tree of Life campaign this month, with the help of our partners at Nature Forward.
Also, be sure to save the date for future meetings:
April 12, Wednesday at 10am – Creation Care Kitchens
May 9, Tuesday at 5pm – FACS Transit Corps
June 14, Wednesday at 10am – Clean Cars
July 11, Tuesday at 5pm – How have we done on all five campaigns so far?
Please join us and invite your friends and fellow faith community members!
Tree of Life focuses on native plants and trees, removing invasive species, composting, and more!
Powered by renewable energy, Solar Sanctuaries will save lives in the face of increasing extreme weather.
Creation Care Kitchens focus on saving food, vegan options, zero waste, energy efficient appliances, and more.
FACS TRANSIT CORPS supports walking, biking, and transit. The cleanest car is the car not driven!
CLEAN CARS are electric and powered by renewable energy.
