CHARGED UP ABOUT ECONOMICS:
ELEMENTARY ENERGY, ECON & THE ENVIRONMENT
JULY 29, 2021 / 9 AM to 11:30 AM
VIRTUAL - ZOOM
This workshop will give teachers the tools to help their students analyze important and timely energy and environmental issues. Two books will be reviewed in the Using Children's Literature to Teach Economics Curriculum with science themes. Participants will get to hear from workshop favorite, Dr. Travis Roach, and his energy economics expertise... but in elementary bite-sized economic chunks! We will have a lot of fun reviewing innovative and hands-on approaches to engage your elementary students in energy, economics, and the environment. 6th and 7th-grade educators will receive a middle school level curriculum.
HIGHLIGHTS:
In this workshop, we will explore a variety of high-quality, free, and real-world learning resources. Sessions will be organized around state standards and highlight experiential and interactive learning.
