Welcome to the Bluegrass Group
The Bluegrass Group is the local affiliate of the Sierra Club in Central Kentucky, sponsoring activities to inform Sierra Club members and the general public about local, regional, state, and national environmental issues. We provide many opportunities to meet, greet and talk about issues and environmental activism (see the Get Involved page), as well as get outdoors to experience what Kentucky has to offer.

Monday, April 15, 2024 @ 7:00pm
Let’s talk about how forests absorb and release carbon dioxide, and why forests matter to the global cycling of carbon, and therefore to changing climate.
Mary Arthur is Professor emeritus of forest ecology at UK. She is a co-lead of the Tree Week Planning Team, and member of the local Climate Conversations group (https://climateconversationslex.weebly.com/), and an avid hiker.
