About this event

The American Sustainable Business Network and Regenerate America are teaming up to advocate for a more regenerative and just Farm Bill. Business members from both organizations will meet with members of Congress to make the case that a robust and resilient future of American agriculture will require investments in programs and policies that support regenerative producers and rebuild the missing middle of our domestic agriculture supply chains.

We're inviting business leaders, investors, and farmers to join us on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC on June 14th and we'd love to see you there! We will be pushing Congress to adopt a host of policies, such as more funding for education, training, and research on soil health and regenerative agriculture; better access to credit and crop insurance for regenerative producers; investment in local and regional supply chains; and support for historically discriminated against farmers.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I stay?

See hotel recommendations in Washington D.C. here! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IkugkyJ6Jhrb0faJs8-VhKzJg-Fh_fWBUbrbwAcZeA0/edit?usp=sharing

I have never lobbied before. What is it like?

Lobbying is an important opportunity to advocate directly for policy solutions. We will be hosting a lobby training day in May to prepare you for what to expect, but just remember Congress is responsible to you as their constituent!

How do I have meetings with my representatives?

Based on the locations where you have headquarters or operations, we will provide support in arranging meetings with your Representatives and Senators.

What does the schedule look like?

Events will begin on the evening of June 13, with a reception for all business members to meet and mingle. Lobby meetings will take place between 8am-5pm on June 14. Meetings are scheduled approximately 2 weeks beforehand, so we will share more schedule details at that time.
