We are deeply concerned by the Supreme Court's draft opinion to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling that established the right to access safe abortion, life-saving health care.
Everyday, we show up for girls and young women throughout our city to ensure they have all the education, tools, and confidence to shine in the world. The draft Supreme Court opinion, however, signals that women's and girls' lives aren't valuable enough to accord them the dignity to make decisions about their own bodies and the right to access essential reproductive health care.
We can't and won't stand by and watch the degradation of such hard-fought civil rights. We remain aligned with the position of the Girls Inc. national office—and the voices of our students, whose artwork is featured here.
