Report: Ilhan Omar is a Home Wrecker Says Jilted Spouse of Political Consultant
Rumors swirled earlier this month of a possible affair between Omar and political consultant Tim Mynett.
The New York Post reported Tuesday afternoon that a woman filing for divorce claimed Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) stole her husband.
According to Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett, her husband Tim Mynett told her in April of his affair with the congresswoman. He also “made a ‘shocking declaration of love'” for her.

The physician, 55, and her 38-year-old husband — who has worked for left-wing Democrats such as Omar and her Minnesota predecessor, Keith Ellison — have a 13-year-old son together.
“The parties physically separated on or about April 7, 2019, when Defendant told Plaintiff that he was romantically involved with and in love with another woman, Ilhan Omar,” the court papers say.
Beth Mynett told her husband that she still loved him and was “willing to fight for the marriage” even after his admission, according to the court papers. The pair had been living together for six years before marrying in 2012, the filing said.
But Tim Mynett told her he was through, the suit says.
Dr. Mynett wants primary physical custody of their son due to Mynett’s constant travel with Omar. The papers state that Mynett’s “more recent travel and long work hours now appear to be more related to his affair with Rep. Omar than with his actual work commitments.”
OUCH.
The doctor also said that Mynett’s relationship with Omar caused her to lose all trust she had with him concerning their son. She expressed disappointment that the two of them took their son out to dinner to formally meet Omar before Mynett informed his wife of the affair.
Dr. Mynett fumed that her husband potentially “put his son in harm’s way” by taking him out with Omar. The congresswoman had “at that time garnered a plethora of media attention along with death threats.”
Omar also recently split up from her husband. They have three children.
At the beginning of August, DailyMailTV reported Omar “dining and holding hands with a mystery man at a secluded restaurant outside of Los Angeles back in March.”
A week later, The Daily Mail revealed the man as Mynett. A source told the publication that Omar “has been carrying on with Mynett, 38, a campaign fundraising strategist, for several months.” The journalists confirmed then that Mynett and his wife split up and he moved to a DC apartment.
Omar and Mynett have a relationship that goes back to 2018. She has paid him “and his E. Street Group approximately $230,000 through her campaign since 2018 for fundraising consulting, digital communications, internet advertising, and travel expenses.”

Couldn’t possibly care less that she broke up a marriage. The morality ship sailed decades ago.
People talking about this are letting themselves get dragged into tabloid nonsense and giving the Democrats an out to dismiss her immigration fraud with her previous ‘husbands’ as just pearl clutching.
It’s ok to titter about this and make jokes. However, no Republican, Independent or Trump supporter should hold any illusions about whether this will affect Omar as a candidate. Democrat voters do not care about infidelity, unless it’s a divorced white guy running against Obama.

Let voters make their private judgments of this if they want to. Not all bad or immoral behavior is a criminal issue or a public concern.
But absolutely focus on alleged criminal tax and immigration fraud – and end this immunity that government officials have from being prosecuted for what everyone else would be.
This resonates with every voter tired of DC playing by different rules then the laws that they pass for us.
Let them all be hang by the rope they intend for our necks (figuratively speaking).
The point of congressional privilege from most prosecution while in office is to prevent weaponizing of the police to obstruct or harass political opponents.
Is it abused? Duh. But I daresay the abuses we’d see if we didn’t have it would be much worse.
There is no “congressional privilege from most prosecution while in office”. Congressmen can’t be arrested while in DC or on their way to and from, except for treason, felony, and breaking the peace. So the privilege extends only to misdemeanors, and even for those they can still be prosecuted, and they can be arrested as soon as they get home.
The only other privilege they have is the speech and debates immunity; they can’t be prosecuted, sued, or even made to testify about anything they say on the floor of their house, or in committee. What they say outside is fair game.

This isn’t just about a marriage breakup. Omar paid this jerk $230,000 for, ah, consulting. Was it really consulting? Considering this fraud has already been found guilty of violating campaign fund laws, you think she is totally in the clear?

Ouch, for real. What humiliation of Dr. Mynett, and Rep. Omar shares the blame for this, for not telling him not to do this to his wife. Of course he’s equally to blame.
Dr. Mynett was dragged, there’s nothing she could have done about it as far as we know. She was humiliated just because the others didn’t care or maybe loved to see her suffer, who the hell knows?

Couldn’t better reveal the true character of Omar any better than this story.
Two points:
1. The representative has had some interesting life choices in her marital life so far. Possible bigamy based on two years of tax filing which showed her filing at least two joint returns with a man who was not her legal husband even though she was married to a different man at the time. The records were released in an ethics committee investigation. Source is the website Powerline, if you haven’t looked over the site you should give it a go. They have thoroughly covered this issue.
2. For most people the Clinton Presidency ended issues of marital fidelity and basic civility as an unofficial requirement for office. The never Trump folks can’t seem to acknowledge that fact.

I think the point many people are trying to make is that Dems have beleaguered many Republicans with their moral failings, but never use these same judgments against Democrats. And the double standard condemns men, but not women.
