70 Mulberry Street, the former PS 23, is one of the most historic buildings in the historic core of Manhattan's Chinatown. The City has started demolishing the building, a pillar to the community - this destruction cannot be allowed to continue.

I’m writing to ask you to support the restoration of the historic 70 Mulberry Street, the former Public School 23. Although the Mayor had previously promised to restore the building, which had been damaged by a fire at the upper floors this winter, the City has now started demolition work. Therefore time is of the essence to save it from complete destruction.
