Tom Andreesen, FY2021 Board President

“Now more than ever, Resilience needs to play a prominent role in supporting sexual assault survivors. The world we are now living in has changed the way Resilience is providing its services to those in need but it has not changed the passion and determination of our amazing staff and volunteers who fulfill the mission to help heal and empower survivors. I could not be prouder of how the organization has adapted to the COVID crisis.

I am humbled to serve a second year as the Board President. While I am happy about progress we have made in the past year, I see so many opportunities to elevate the organization in the Chicago area. We will be finalizing a strategic plan in the upcoming year that will enable Resilience to not only continue fulfilling its mission but hopefully create a pathway to offer additional programs and services to support survivors. I am also excited to continue raising awareness of Resilience’s mission and capabilities with corporations and individuals and seek their support to help us end sexual violence.” –Tom Andreesen, FY2021 Board President

Stephanie Perkowski, FY2021 Associate Board President

“Resilience’s mission to end sexual violence is close to my heart. As a former client, I know firsthand how trauma-informed mental health services and advocacy, both at an individual and community level, are empowering tools for healing and making an impact. Our Associate Board looks forward to continuing our work of raising funds and awareness to end sexual violence while cultivating an inclusive community that encourages personal and professional growth.” –Stephanie Perkowski, FY2021 Associate Board President
