White Plains residents celebrated Irish culture with their 24th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The celebration of Irish culture began at the intersection of Livingston and Mamaroneck Avenue.
Organizers said it was the largest parade they’ve put together.
"We have about 25 bands, most of them are pipe bands. We have some high school marching bands and dozens of community groups,” said event co-chair John Martin. "It’s a time for people to come together again and get out!"
The White Plains Beautification Foundation also participated in the parade.
“It’s a really wonderful event. You get to see the community,” said Lynn Oliva, the foundation’s vice president. "We’ve been marching since they've had a parade, rain or shine."
