KIDS COUNT® is a national and state-by-state project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation to monitor the well-being of children in the United States. By providing high-quality data and trend analysis, KIDS COUNT seeks to enrich local, state and national discussions concerning ways to secure better futures for all children and to raise the visibility of issues affecting children and youth through a nonpartisan, evidence-based lens.

The KIDS COUNT Data Center now includes indicators tracking some of the impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic on children and families in Vermont.

The KIDS COUNT project also develops and distributes reports on key areas of well-being, including the annual KIDS COUNT Data Book, which measures the educational, social, economic, and physical well-being of children state by state.
