NQAPIA CENSUS PROBLEM REPORTING FORM
NQAPIA is monitoring to Census to make sure our communities are safe so that they can get counted in the Census. We have set up this confidential google form to serve three (3) critical functions:

(1) An informational form where people can get basic answers to questions about the census

(2) Intakes for people to report problems or needs (such as more translated forms or guides). These would be aggregated and transmitted to Census officials for remedy.

(3) Legal Confidentiality Assurance where volunteer lawyers advise callers about the strength of the confidentiality protections and take down information in case anyone felt their confidentiality was compromised. This serves as an important assurance mechanism for undocumented immigrants to feel safe and secure to participate in the census.

All data is encrypted. All information strictly confidential and kept in the custody of attorneys.

Respondent advocates can be reached by emailing respondent-advocate@census.gov or calling (888) 609-0563.

NQAPIA encourages all in our community to fill out the Census. We recognize that the data collected is inherently unrepresentative of the multiplicity of our identities. Although it can feel reductive, it is necessary because of the very real implications towards how the government will allocate resources and political representation. The Census holds a lasting impact; its results are used for ten years.

NQAPIA adopts a harm reduction model in our Census work to best support our communities. While we are encouraging our community to engage, we also filed a complaint letter and are gathering feedback from trans and GNC individuals. We ask that you stand alongside us. We ask that while you might not fully support the Census, you need to fill it out.
