In July-August 2021, ‘open house’ public listening sessions were held throughout Colorado. Open houses provided the opportunity for the public to inform the wolf restoration and management planning process by sharing ideas and questions.

The public was also able to provide input on open house topics through an online Summer 2021 comment form and offered verbal comments through a virtual town hall. For more information about the online open houses, informational videos and posters, and the Summer 2021 comment form, click here. The Summer 2021 comment form closed 9/3/2021.

Information about the dates, locations, and/or other details of the open houses as well as invitational Western Colorado focus groups, interest-based focus groups, and Tribal consultations are posted below.

These meetings, focus groups, and online comment opportunities comprised the first phase of public involvement in the gray wolf restoration and management planning process.

Virtual Town Halls

Virtual town halls were offered August 17 and August 26, each beginning at 5 p.m. and each running for up to three hours, depending on the number of pre-registered commenters.

The virtual town halls were conducted live via Zoom and were facilitated by Keystone staff, with CPW staff also present to listen to comments. Comments were limited to 3 minutes per person.
