The City of Boston is committed to ensuring accessible sidewalks and streets for all pedestrians, including those with disabilities. Accessible curb ramps are a key component of this.
The City has recently entered into a Consent Decree that establishes goals and methods to upgrade every existing curb ramp in the city, and to install curb ramps at corners where they are missing.
In order to accomplish this, and to be consistent with its obligations under the Consent Decree, the City has developed an Implementation Plan for Curb Ramp Accessibility. We are seeking input from people with mobility disabilities on this plan.
